A South American fruiting cactus with large nocturnal flowers and large red skinned, white fleshed fruit. The most common dragon fruit variety. Fruit can weigh in excess of 1kg when ripe. Has a subtle flavour resembling a mix of pear and kiwi fruit. Cross pollinate by planting with other dragon fruit varieties to increase fruit set and size.
